Ambire (AmbireTech)
Ambire is a self-custody wallet for the EVM ecosystem, available as an extension for Chrome, Brave, Edge, Firefox, Opera and Arc. Its distinctive trait is the smart-account architecture: it uses EIP-7702 to bring smart-wallet features to ordinary accounts (EOAs) and, where a network does not support 7702, it gracefully falls back and emulates the features it can with an EOA fallback. It offers transaction simulation before signing, cross-chain bridging, DeFi position tracking, built-in swaps and sponsored transactions to cut gas. It supports hardware wallets (Trezor, Ledger, GridPlus Lattice) and importing existing accounts via private key, seed or device. Native networks include Ethereum, Base, Optimism, Arbitrum, Scroll, BNB Chain and Gnosis, with the option to add custom EVM chains via RPC. The code is open-source and audited. The native $WALLET token powers a fee-funded buyback-and-burn mechanism. Note that, by design, Ambire does not offer social recovery.

What is Ambire's smart account?
Ambire uses a smart-account architecture: through EIP-7702 it brings typical smart-wallet features (transaction simulation, sponsored gas, batched operations) to ordinary accounts (EOAs). On networks that do not yet support EIP-7702, Ambire falls back to an EOA and emulates the features it can. It remains self-custody: you control the keys.
Does Ambire offer social recovery?
No. Although it is a smart wallet, as of verification (August 2026) Ambire does not offer social recovery. Recovery is via the seed phrase or private key; you can also use a hardware wallet (Trezor, Ledger, GridPlus Lattice).
What is the $WALLET token for?
$WALLET is the native token of the Ambire ecosystem: it grants voting rights on decisions and powers a fee-funded buyback-and-burn mechanism. It can also serve as a token to pay network fees inside the wallet.
